Fenton Glass Basket
One of my favorite pieces given to me by a Coworker as an "Easter Basket" is this gorgeous Fenton glassware basket in turquoise, which has an irridescent finish in a myriad of colors! This basket holds irridescent turquoise and gold bangles, what else?
Taken with flash and it shows the rainbow of colors that the irridescent glaze has, as well as the milky opaqueness of the lovely fluted edges...
This was taken without flash to show you the deepness and brilliance of the turquoise!
My piece was made by Fenton's glass blower Bob Buchanan. His Handler's Mark looks like the sun with it's rays fanning out, extremely appropriate, for without the sunlight, the rainbow's colors would not be visible as seen through the prism of a rain drop... His mark is stamped on the end of each handle.
